Summary
In our sixth project for Act III Holdings and our second project supporting the Level99 brand, we’ve secured Level99 Providence launch coverage across online, social, television and print media. Our primary strategy was aggressive press outreach to secure one-on-one guided media tours on-site, and follow-up to bring those opportunities to fruition in the form of unmissable, on-message feature coverage in this market.
We ensured both the Entertainment and Hospitality sides of the business were well-represented in every story. Our leadoff placement in The Providence Journal was a front page, above the fold feature calling Level99 a “Real-life video game.” Broadcast highlights included coverage on WLNE-TV (ABC 6) which said Level99 is “Supporting local artists” and WPRI-TV (CBS 12) discussing its “Farm-to-table food.” Each of these placements ran multiple times in the market.
Additional notable messaging and coverage secured included, “A puzzle and challenge-topia complete with a restaurant” (Motif Magazine), “A drink and dining destination rivaling any casual-to-crafty restaurant in the city” (Rhode Island Monthly), “A winning mix of gastronomy and games” (Providence Monthly), “Will power the mall itself” (Providence Business News), “Entertainment unlike anything else in the city” (Townsquare Media) WBSM-AM and “A new entertainment spot geared towards adults” (Fall River Reporter).
Our promotional efforts helped Level99 break the 1,000 guest mark the first Saturday it was open — a new record — through walk-in sales only, before online ticketing went live.
Meanwhile, we used the Providence opening as an opportunity to share the success of Level99 Natick, with outlets reporting Natick has “Drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors” (Patch Natick), and the new Challenge Rooms at Natick are being called “A big refresh” (Natick Report).
In addition to delivering these results, the PR team also developed additional opportunities with our editorial contacts at Yankee Magazine, Providence Business News, The Providence Journal, WJAR-TV (NBC 10) “Studio 10” Providence and WFXT-TV (FOX 25) Boston.
